The web site is confusing. Too much.
Getting my group organized and on schedule. I enjoy the class exercises
immensely and look forward to class every week.
I feel this course offers very good insights about organizational life. The amount of reading and ambiguity is difficult to get used to for an engineer, but I don't have any insights about what to do about it. It would seem that this is probably an experience that is good for growing for myself.
I have to say this is a great learning style as much as I didn't think it would be that good at the beginning of the semester.
I don't like the fact that the OFS project takes so much time outside of class. I work and have a family and don't have time to spend that's not very early or late at night. It is difficult to feel like I am contributing to the project as much as the others because my limited availability.
When I entered this course I was not sure what to expect, and I was also not sure about how much I would learn that could help me in my pursuit of becoming a manager and a leader. It has since become clear to me how important this material is in understanding organizations and being able to react to situations in a successful way, despite the infinite number of situations that exist. The nature in which this class is run (groups and hands-on activities rather than lecture straight from the book) provides us as students with insights into this topic that come directly from your experience, which includes topics that cannot come directly from the textbook. Thanks for the experience. I am looking forward to the second half of this class.
