Group Learning Activity.

Each subgroup is responsible for designing and delivering a learning experience for the class to help members improve their team leadership skills. Plan the learning activity to last the whole class period.

The library is  full of resources. For example, search team building exercises, group experiential learning,  group problem solving exercises. Google these or similar topics.  If you choose an experiential exercise, be sure to think through carefully and thoroughly how we process the experience, e.g., what are the best question we should address about the experience? Make sure we have enough process time. This is when the real learning occurs. Often a PowerPoint presentation or handouts  can help focus our discussion

If you want the class to read (or reread) something before your learning experience, assigned the class the reading the week before. I can help post material on the course website.

Your grade will be determined: 1) By the class (see Learning Activity Evaluation Form). Print off and bring copies,  2) By your subgroup: submit a copy of the Peer Assessment Form the date specified, including your overall assessment of each member of your subgroup, by the instructor.

Make evaluation notes each evening about about your evaluation of the Learning Activities. Bring copies of the  Learning Activity Evaluation Form. You will hold  onto your notes until (date specified)  so that you will have seen all of the Learning Activities before you make your final assessments. We will collect those forms  on (date specified)  after the last Learning Activity.
