New preparation assignment for Aug 24 class "Other Activity":

1. See the Bulletin Board first then look at and think about this CNN article and the Power Point: Intro to Making Sense of Behavior and also take a brief look at Job Design .

2. Complete
and bring to class the results of Analysis of My Behavior in Group  and identify the behaviors you wish to "work on" this semester.  You will not need to "turn this in."  It's yours to reflect on all semester. You will have an opportunity  to talk about these personal change goals in your small group Aug 24, find ways to work on these personal goals throughout the semester, and then, later, write about these personal behavioral learning goals in in the Final paper. Keep a personal log of your efforts to address these personal behavioral change goals.

Here are a couple of the sources for the assertion that height and and salary are positively correlated that have been picked up by various news media.  It is the work of economists and is not published in referred journals in which these questions have been addressed in the past.

As the economists continue to wrestle with the question, they are finding contradictory results:

Five Key Ideas about Twelve Angry Men
  • Read "Decisions Decisions" handout. The author provides  a definition of consensus. Is it a good one? How might you improve upon the definition?  How hard did your group try to find consensus? Deal with differences/conflict? How would you explain the findings of the research reported?
  • Tell us what you think  was going on in the jury? In your group? The juror you watched?
